Reformer and Private Sessions are available by appointment only. The Core Center is a fully equipped Pilates Studio offering individual and group classes. Studio equipment includes: Reformers, a Cadillac, Barrels, Ped-a-Puls, Chairs (Combo & Wunda), Fletcher Towel, Magic Circles, Fletcher Floor, and of course Mats

 

Sessions/Classes are non-refundable once they commence.

A 24hr cancellation notice is required for all private instruction, reformer class, massage therapy sessions, otherwise you will be charged for that session.

Studio Policy:

Walk-ins are welcome - but at a different rate, if not a member
All group classes will have a minimum of 2 people in class or class will be cancelled for that day
All private and reformer sessions are by appointment only
If both reformer partners cancel, the session will be considered a Private; and Private pricing will apply
All sessions and classes are to be paid for in advance
A purchase of a package must be used within the timeframe of the package - no extensions (a package starts when you attend the packages 1st class or session)
Packages purchased CANNOT be combined with, or transferred to, any other studio offering
Prepayments for a private session, a reformer session, or for equipment rental, are good for three months
Purchase of a reformer class package, once it starts, is good for 3 months
All sessions and classes are non-refundable and non-transferable once they commence
DRESS CODE - tight fitting pants or shorts (no loose shorts)
$25 fee for a returned check
No picture taking allowed (either video or stills)
24-hour cancellation notification is required for private lessons, reformer classes, and massage therapy sessions; or you will be charged for that session
You must signup prior to attendance to ensure enough space and/or equipment is available
Cell phones must be set to silent!
Class is closed after the initial 10 minutes of class. No entering a class after this time
If you must leave class early, notify the teacher before a class starts
 

 

The Core Basics - Introductory Pilates Class (Mandatory Instruction - for membership)                                      

This class is designed to introduce you to The Core Center a Pilates Studio and to the work and language of Joseph Pilates and the Fletcher work. Learning mat work basics and the Fletcher fundamentals of movement, you will have a better understanding of Pilates and the Fletcher work and what it can do for your body.

This class is offered multiple times during the month (call studio for schedule).  It is also offered "by appointment only" which provides greater flexibility to the students schedule.

 

Reformer Class  (Prerequisite: 10 private or duet sessions and permission of the studio director)

Work through a sequence of appropriately leveled Reformer choreography in unison. The Pilates teacher monitors for safe and proper form, and follows a moderate pace, which is still challenging so that it will strengthen the core muscles, lengthen and tone the body, and deliver a complete body workout.  (class size 2 or 3)

 

 

Fletcher Floor Worktm  1 (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

A comprehensive movement experience incorporating the innovative towel work, percussive breath work and floor work of Master Teacher Ron Fletcher, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, breath and spirit. (class size limited to 20)

Fletcher Floor Worktm  2 (Prerequisite: A working knowledge of Fletcher Floor Work 1 and permission of the studio director)

Building on the foundation from Fletcher Floor Work 1, this intermediate level class is an invigorating and a challenging route to the innovative towel work, percussive breath work and floor work of Master Teacher Ron Fletcher. (class size limited to 20)

 

 

Fletcher Towel Worktm & Magic Circle   (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

A full body movement using the innovative Ron Fletcher Towel work (a “pull”) and an upper and lower body resistance (a “push”) training with the Magic Circle. (class size limited to 16)

 

 

 

Barrel 1 (Spine Corrector)  (Prerequisites: Introductory Pilates Class, A working knowledge of the work with at least 7 weeks of instruction, and permission of the studio director) 

Stretch the spine into a full range of movement using the Barrel (Spine Corrector).  This class will help you develop greater spinal flexibility and abdominal control.  This is an intense abdominal workout. (class size limited to 10)

Barrel 2 (Prerequisites: A working knowledge Barrel 1and at least 14 weeks of instruction, and permission of the studio director) 

Building on the foundation from Barrel 1, this intermediate level class is an invigorating and a challenging route to stretch the spine into a full range of movement using the Barrel (Spine Corrector). This class will help you develop greater spinal flexibility and abdominal control. This is an intense abdominal workout.  (class size limited to 10)

 

 

 

 

Beginner Mat  (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

The beginning level class provides a solid foundation in the "Basic 12" Pilates mat exercises. You will tone and strengthen your core musculature and improve body alignment and posture. (class size limited to 12)

Mat 1  (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

This class provides a solid foundation builds in the “Basic 12” Pilates mat exercises. You will tone and strengthen your core musculature and improve body alignment and posture. (class size limited to 12)

Mat 2 (Prerequisite: A working knowledge of MAT 1 with at least 14 weeks of MAT 1 instruction, and permission of studio director)

Building on the foundation of the “Basic 12” from MAT 1, this intermediate level class is an invigorating, challenging route to not only strengthening core musculature but also improving coordination, range of movement and flexibility. (class size limited to 12)

Mat 3 (Prerequisite: A working knowledge of MAT 2 and permission of the studio director)

MORE and FASTER!  This brisk paced up-tempo MAT class advances you to the level of mastering the subtle complexities of this work, enabling you to flow more gracefully from one movement to the next,; while increasing stamina, strength and coordination. (class size limited to 12)

 

Ball (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

You will learn unique ways to strengthen your core muscles to improve balance and alignment and trigger postural muscles to help you look taller and leaner.  And you will have FUN!  (class size limited to 17)

 

Stretch & Tone  (Prerequisite: Introductory Pilates Class)

Experience the "best" of BOTH, combining elements of the Floor work with the pureness of a Pilates MAT 1 class.  Improve upper and lower body toning, muscle tone, firmness, endurance and flexibility in this great conditioning class.  (class size limited to 20)

Yamuna Body Rolling™ (YBR) is a revolutionary approach to health and fitness using balls designed exclusively for this practice. It consists of a series of routines using 6 to 10-inch balls. Mens Class (Inquire for class offerings and workshops)

One of the biggest hurdles faced by men, muscular or not, is flexibility.  Without flexibility, we are left open to injury, muscle strains, and lack of mobility.  For a lot of men, physical fitness is defined by strength and muscle mass. Weight lifting is often the chosen exercise, being optimal for gaining both muscle and strength. Unfortunately, it is just that which contributes to a lack of flexibility. Muscles constrict in response to the weight lifted, and without proper stretching techniques, the body is left vulnerable to injury.  Introducing Pilates into your exercise routine will contribute a significant increase in flexibility, body awareness and muscle isolation techniques and the foundation of Pilates - great abs!
 

Adult Ballet (Inquire for class offerings and workshops)

If you studied as a child or always wanted too, here's your chance!  The ballet class is made for the novice or the truly experienced.  Come and enjoy the art and love of ballet.
